Deck overview

This Sultai deck harnesses Zaxara, the Exemplary to transform every X spell into an army of massive Hydra tokens. An abundant suite of early mana elves, land searchers, and mana rocks powers out Zaxara on turn 3. From turn 4 onward, the deck leverages its commander's double-mana generation and token trigger to deploy huge threats, draw deep with cards like Gadwick, the Wizened and Garruk's Uprising, and control the board with scalable interaction. While lacking infinite mana loops or tutor packages, the deck produces enormous board states that overwhelm opponents through trample, unblockable swings via Open into Wonder, or an alternate victory condition with Simic Ascendancy.
