Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black Aristocrats combo list led by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The strategy relies on recurring sacrifice fodder, asymmetric edicts, and death triggers to control the board while assembling an infinite drain combo. The primary win condition combines Phyrexian Altar and Forsaken Miner with Sephiroth or another drain payoff such as Blood Artist. Sacrificing Forsaken Miner generates black mana and triggers Sephiroth to drain an opponent. Because targeting an opponent commits a crime, Forsaken Miner immediately triggers to return itself to the battlefield using that mana, repeating the loop infinitely. High-velocity mana rocks and unconditional tutors allow the deck to assemble its win consistently by Turn 4. Defensive equipment like Commander's Plate and Mithril Coat shields the commander, while hate pieces like Opposition Agent and Tergrid, God of Fright slow opposing game plans.
