Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie Tribal Midrange engine commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early Zombie creatures, deploying Gisa on turn 5, and leveraging her sacrifice ability to exponentially grow a wide board of 2/2 Zombie tokens. Multiple anthem lords, such as Death Baron, Lord of the Undead, and Undead Warchief, turn these tokens into lethal combat threats, while aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opponent life totals. The mana base and ramp package rely on standard 2-to-3 cost rocks and basic Swamps, ensuring reliable on-curve plays without fast mana bursts. With zero tutors, the list relies on high functional redundancy and engines like Cryptbreaker and Graveborn Muse for card advantage. The deck faces vulnerability to board wipes and targeted removal due to a lack of protective equipment, but it maintains resilience through steady graveyard recursion.
