Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu Vampire tribal build commanded by Edgar Markov. The primary strategy maximizes Edgar's Eminence ability by deploying low-cost Vampires in the opening turns. Each cast creates a 1/1 Vampire token from the command zone at no mana cost, rapidly establishing a wide battlefield presence by Turn 3. In the mid-game, the deck leverages team-wide anthems and damage amplifiers such as Cathars' Crusade, Twinflame Tyrant, and Edgar Markov himself to turn small tokens into lethal attackers starting on Turn 5. Secondary drain engines like Mirkwood Bats, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Vermin Gorger convert token creation and creature sacrifices into direct life loss, bypassing combat blockers. In the late game, the deck can also assemble an infinite drain loop with Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. While vulnerable to mass sweepers, Eminence allows rapid board reconstruction to finish the table by Turn 7.
