Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is led by The Great Goblin and revolves around the amass mechanic, +1/+1 counters, and tribal synergies with Goblins and Orcs. The primary game plan deploys the commander early, then repeatedly amasses Army tokens and adds counters to creatures. Each counter placement triggers the commander to deal 2 damage to an opponent, while creature deaths yield impulse card draw to keep resources flowing. As Army tokens grow, keywords like trample and menace from cards such as Great Goblin, Foul-Hearted and Warg Rider allow heavy combat damage to complement direct burn. Finisher spells like Uncivil Unrest and Assault on Osgiliath double damage output to close out the game. The deck operates smoothly at casual tables with strong thematic synergy, though its reliance on a single tall Army token and limited protection makes it susceptible to bounce spells and targeted creature removal.
