Deck overview

This deck leverages Hidetsugu and Kairi as both a topdeck-sculpting engine and a free-cast outlet for format-warping high-cost sorceries. When the commander enters the battlefield, it draws three cards and places two cards on top of your library. When it dies, its trigger exiles the stacked card, burns an opponent for its mana value, and casts it without paying its mana cost. By targeting the commander with inexpensive clone spells like Phantasmal Image or instant-speed splitters like Saw in Half, the legend rule immediately triggers this death ability. Hitting catastrophic payoffs such as Enter the Infinite, Time Stretch, or Peer into the Abyss lets you draw your library and win immediately with Thassa's Oracle. Because standard destroy removal actively enables your win condition, opponents must hold exile removal or stack counters to disrupt your execution.
