This Sultai combo-control deck is helmed by Glarb, Calamity's Augur, who provides topdeck manipulation and incremental card advantage through surveil, but the deck's real power lies entirely in its 99. The primary game plan is to assemble and protect one of several compact two-card combos: Thassa's Oracle + Demonic Consultation/Divining Witch/Doomsday for a library-empty win, or Chain of Smog + Witherbloom Apprentice for infinite magecraft drain triggers. The commander's ability to cast high-mana-value spells from the top is a bonus, not a requirement. A dense tutor suite-including Muddle the Mixture (transmute), Lim-Dul's Vault, and Mastermind's Acquisition-ensures the deck finds its win conditions rapidly.
