Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Oloro, Ageless Ascetic as a passive life-gain engine that fuels card draw and slow drain. You stay alive while opponents exhaust resources, then win with Aetherflux Reservoir, Approach of the Second Sun, or the Vito + Exquisite Blood life loop. Oloro gains life even from the command zone, but you must cast him to turn life gain into cards and damage. Secondary plans include overwhelming card advantage from Rhystic Study, Necropotence, and Consecrated Sphinx, and locking the board with Hullbreaker Horror and stax pieces. It plays like a classic draw-go control deck that wins after establishing dominance.
