Deck overview

This Azorius midrange deck harnesses Niko, Light of Hope to convert Shard enchantment tokens into devastating nonlegendary creature copies. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and establishing Niko to generate an initial stockpile of Shard tokens. Cheap flicker spells like Cloudshift and Ghostly Flicker serve double duty by generating additional Shards, triggering card-draw creatures like Dour Port-Mage, and protecting key permanents from removal. In the midgame, the deck lands high-impact artifact creatures such as Myr Battlesphere, Cybermen Squadron, and Cityscape Leveler. By activating Niko's ability, the existing Shards become attacking copies without summoning sickness, unleashing massive combat damage, myriad triggers, and board destruction. While the deck relies heavily on its commander to execute this conversion, its deep suite of protection spells and natural value recursion provide strong resilience against interaction.
