Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari midrange powerhouse that blends aristocrats recursion with infect and proliferate mechanics. Commanded by Meren of Clan Nel Toth, the deck uses cheap mana dorks and sacrifice enablers to establish experience counters quickly. Instead of relying on traditional life total damage, it uses Ichor Rats and efficient infect creatures to place initial poison counters on all opponents simultaneously. From there, proliferate engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Evolution Sage, and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider rapidly increase poison counts while Meren loops disruptive utility creatures like Plaguecrafter and Cankerbloom to suppress opposing boards. Strong protection spells defend the board while robust creature tutors ensure high consistency.
