Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive cost-cheating game plan helmed by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary goal is to establish mana fixing in the opening turns, deploy Kaalia by Turn 3 or 4, and immediately swing to drop devastating Angels and Demons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Master of Cruelties, Archfiend of Despair, and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight create immediate lethal pressure, knocking out opponents one by one. The deck relies on a high density of massive flyers, backed by efficient Mardu spot removal such as Swords to Plowshares and Anguished Unmaking. Defensive spells like Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, and Boros Charm shield Kaalia from removal during crucial attack steps. While vulnerable to early spot removal targeting its commander and prone to running low on cards, the deck maintains high threat density and closes games quickly through overwhelming aerial combat.
