Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sauron, the Dark Lord midrange deck that uses the commander as a repeatable draw engine and amass threat. The primary path is to assemble the extra-combat combination of Aggravated Assault with Sword of Feast and Famine or The Reaver Cleaver, connect once with Sauron, then chain combat phases for lethal. A secondary Wraith/Army plan revolves around nine Nazgul, Sauron, the Necromancer, Saruman, and ring-tempt triggers, with Bone Miser turning discards into value and Reanimate/Whip providing recursion. The hidden commander in the 99 is Sauron, the Necromancer, who powers the reanimator beatdown axis and makes the Wraith package a real threat.
