Commander: Kodama of the West Tree

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green "modified creatures" ramp-value deck built around Kodama of the West Tree. The plan is to load the board with creatures carrying +1/+1 counters, Equipment, or Auras, then attack with modified creatures so Kodama's trigger repeatedly searches out basic lands. That land-ramp engine quickly funds enormous green haymakers, turning a wide counter-board into a one-turn kill through Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation at X=10, or Triumph of the Hordes. The deck is a creature-toolbox rather than a combo deck: it uses Worldly Tutor, Chord of Calling, Natural Order, and Pattern of Rebirth to find its finishers, while Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and The Great Henge keep the hand full. Kodama accelerates and grants trample, but the 99 can still function as a green value pile if he is answered.
