Deck overview

Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire is a Jund sacrifice-and-cheat commander. The deck ramps into Vaevictis, then turns his attack trigger into a board-control engine: opponents sacrifice permanents while the top card of each library may become a free permanent. Tergrid, Grave Betrayal, Mazirek, and Mayhem Devil convert those sacrifices into theft, counters, and damage, while Etali, Helm of the Host, and Wulfgar multiply attack triggers. A secondary plan hard-casts or cheats Eldrazi-sized threats such as Blightsteel, Ulamog, and Ghalta to end the game in combat. Necropotence, Sylvan Library, and The One Ring keep the long game fueled. The deck is not a fast combo deck; it wins by sustained midrange pressure.
