Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Itazura, Lingering Wick leans into high-variance, explosive plays fueled by copy effects and damage doublers. The primary plan uses Itazura's upkeep trigger to exile three cards: an opponent gets to cast one for free, while you pocket another, generating card advantage and a free spell each turn. Copy spells like Reverberate, Twincast, and Dualcaster Mage multiply the value of whatever the opponent casts, while Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Twinflame Tyrant, and Fiendish Duo double all noncombat damage. The deck can pivot into infinite mana via Reiterate + a ritual (Seething Song, Mana Geyser), then close with Mind's Desire storm, a copied Soulfire Eruption, or a torrent of copy spells. Alternate wins include stealing opponents' best permanents with Bribery or Blatant Thievery, and punishing off-turn spells with Scytheclaw Raptor. It's a chaotic, opponent-dependent build that thrives on copying and doubling.
