Deck overview

This is a Rakdos "group slug" pain deck helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, built entirely around making opponents lose life on every axis - upkeep triggers, draw triggers, spell casts, land drops, and creature deaths. Valgavoth converts each opponent's first life-loss each turn into a card and a +1/+1 counter, turning the deck's own punishment engine into relentless card advantage and a growing flying beater. The deck wins through attrition: a dense wall of punisher permanents like Mogis, God of Slaughter, Spiteful Visions, and The Lord of Pain grind all three opponents down simultaneously, with Spiked Corridor // Torture Pit and Fear of Burning Alive doubling the noncombat damage for a late-game acceleration. There are no infinite combos; the plan is pure inevitability through repeated drain, punctuated by burst effects like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Massacre Wurm.
