Deck overview

This Azorius midrange deck harnesses the Start Your Engines mechanic to transform Mendicant Core, Guidelight into an artifact-duplicating engine and lethal combat threat. Early turns focus on deploying low-cost artifacts and Vehicles, connecting with early attacks to rapidly reach Max Speed by Turn 5. Once Max Speed is reached, the commander copies every artifact spell cast for a single mana, generating massive board presence and card advantage. The deck leverages its expanding artifact count to grow the commander into a lethal threat, using unblockable enablers like Whirler Rogue and double strike from Pride of the Road to eliminate opponents across successive turns. While resilient to targeted disruption thanks to swift speed-tracking recovery, the deck remains vulnerable to mass artifact sweepers.
