Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius artifact combo strategy helmed by Mendicant Core, Guidelight. It leverages efficient artifact mana acceleration and dense artifact tutors to construct game-ending infinite mana combinations. The primary win condition pairs Basalt Monolith with either Forsaken Monument or Rings of Brighthearth to generate infinite colorless mana, which channels directly into Walking Ballista to eliminate the entire table on the spot. While developing toward this critical turn, the deck maintains board presence and card velocity through engines like Simulacrum Synthesizer, Vedalken Archmage, and Esper Sentinel. It defends its proactive lines using a robust package of efficient countermagic, targeted removal, and disruptive permanents such as Defense Grid and Spellskite. If combo components are removed, the deck smoothly transitions into a formidable midrange plan, generating massive Construct tokens that scale with total artifact count to overwhelm opponents in combat.
