Deck overview

Auntie Ool, Cursewretch headlines a highly synergistic Jund -1/-1 counters and aristocrats deck. The strategy revolves around placing -1/-1 counters on both friendly and opposing creatures to trigger card draw, drain life totals, and generate swarms of tokens through Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Flourishing Defenses. The deck leverages accelerated mana from Devoted Druid and Channeler Initiate to deploy Auntie Ool on Turn 3 or 4, quickly transitioning into card-drawing velocity. Its primary win condition is an infinite loop combining Blowfly Infestation with a token generator and a drain payoff such as Obelisk Spider, Blood Artist, or Goblin Bombardment, executing a lethal table-wide finish on Turn 5. Asymmetric control pieces like Kulrath Knight, Soul Snuffers, and Necroskitter suppress opposing creature decks while the engine advances. Although reliant on specific permanent synergies and vulnerable to enchantment removal, the deck boasts resilient recursion and redundant backup commanders.
