Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Mono-Blue Draw-Two Aristocrats build led by Minn, Wily Illusionist. The strategy focuses on drawing two cards on your own turn and opponents' turns through cheap cantrips, looters, and combat triggers. This repeatedly generates Illusion tokens that scale in power with each Illusion on the battlefield. The deck turns these tokens into a powerful resource engine using sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar, Blasting Station, and High Market to trigger Minn's second ability, cheating high-cost permanents like Scourge of Fleets, Nezahal, Primal Tide, and Eldrazi Monument onto the battlefield for free. The deck wins by clearing blockers with Scourge of Fleets, making its wide board unblockable with Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive, or overwhelming opponents in the air. While it boasts excellent recovery against board wipes due to Minn's death triggers, it relies on natural card flow rather than tutors to find sacrifice outlets.
