Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Midrange build commanded by Denzilore Fatehold, focusing on flying aggression, counter distribution, and life-gain synergies. The core game plan deploys evasive creatures, leverages scry and surveil triggers to place +1/+1 counters across the board, and closes the game through aerial combat or Angel of Destiny. Flash on the commander allows flexible timing, holding up mana for reactive counterspells like Counterspell and Sinister Sabotage before deploying threats. Card selection engines such as Proctor of Potential, The One Ring, and The Theorist, Jace Beleren maintain hand size and board momentum. A robust defensive package including Farewell, Swords to Plowshares, and Divine Resilience controls the battlefield and protects critical pieces from removal. Alternative lines through Archangel of Thune ensure high resilience even if the commander is removed, delivering consistent pressure against diverse multiplayer pods.
