Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages commander Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel to turn incidental life gain into massive card advantage. Dense 0-to-1 CMC fast mana accelerates early development, enabling an early deployment of soul sisters and the 6-mana commander. Once assembled, life gain triggers from creature entries and passive drain effects convert directly into card draw. The primary win condition revolves around combining Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel with Sheoldred, the Apocalypse to draw the entire library, net excess life, and terminate the table via Aetherflux Reservoir in a single turn. Backup lines include the infinite drain loops of Exquisite Blood combined with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, as well as brute-force card draw through Peer into the Abyss. While the deck lacks nonland tutors, its intense draw engine and heavy redundancy ensure rapid access to game-ending combinations.
