Deck overview

This deck is a high-curve Lathliss, Dragon Queen Dragon swarm deck. Its core plan is to deploy mana rocks and Dragon cost reducers, cast Lathliss, then chain large Dragons that create additional 5/5 tokens. Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert those entries into direct damage, while Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, Scourge of the Throne, and Hellkite Charger increase combat output. The deck has useful creature and artifact removal, but little protection and no proactive denial. Its ordinary game is a value snowball beginning around Turns 7–8, not a compact combo finish. Specific explosive starts are possible with Sol Ring, cost reducers, or Breaching Dragonstorm, but these are ceiling draws rather than the dependable operating pattern. The main weaknesses are access to non-Dragon payoffs, the commander’s high recast cost, and the number of turns opponents receive before lethal damage.
