Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around Sheoldred, the Apocalypse as a punishing draw-hate engine and life-gain enabler. The primary game plan is to deploy symmetrical draw effects (Howling Mine, Temple Bell, Teferi's Puzzle Box, Seizan, Perverter of Truth) to force opponents to draw cards, triggering Sheoldred's life loss and your own life gain. This life gain then fuels an infinite drain loop via Sanguine Bond combined with Bloodthirsty Conqueror, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity. The deck also leverages life as a resource for powerful card advantage engines like Necrodominance, Ad Nauseam, and Bolas's Citadel, with Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Psychosis Crawler as secondary win conditions. It is a resilient, value-oriented control deck that wins through incremental drain or a compact combo.
