Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and tribal aggro strategy helmed by Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor bridges spellslinger and tribal themes by creating 1/1 blue Merfolk tokens whenever you cast noncreature spells with blue mana symbols. The deck utilizes low-cost interaction, cantrips, and enchantments to build a wide board while growing Namor into a significant flying threat. Merfolk lords such as Master of the Pearl Trident, Merrow Reejerey, and Attuma, Atlantean Warlord scale the team's power, while evasion enablers grant islandwalk or unblockability to bypass blockers. Card velocity is fueled by combat-damage triggers from Bident of Thassa and Seafloor Oracle. While resilient against single-target interaction thanks to ward, taxes, and counterspells, the deck wins through fair combat steps and remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
