Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Human and Knight tribal combat deck commanded by Aragorn, King of Gondor. Its core strategy revolves around establishing an early army of Human tokens through generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Horn of Gondor, and Prince Imrahil the Fair, then deploying Aragorn to claim the monarch. Once the monarch is held, Aragorn makes the entire team unblockable on attack, allowing devastating, clean combat swings amplified by powerful anthems like Coat of Arms, Shared Animosity, and Cathars' Crusade. Defensive enchantments and taxing creatures such as Propaganda, Baird, Steward of Argive, and Thalia, Heretic Cathar help secure the monarch crown against opposing retaliation. The deck features explosive unblockable combat pressure, but it lacks low-cost ramp and instant-speed reactive interaction, leaving it vulnerable to fast combo decks and well-timed sweepers.
