Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis build led by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It blends draw-punishment mechanics, wheel effects, and Nazgûl tribal aggression with a robust reanimation subtheme. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and deploying key static enchantments or creatures such as Waste Not, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Orcish Bowmasters. During the midgame, the deck casts symmetrical wheel spells like Windfall and Dark Deal to deal massive burst damage to opponents while refilling its hand and loading the graveyard. Sauron, the Dark Lord generates continuous board presence by amassing Orc Armies and filtering cards whenever the Ring tempts you. The deck finishes games by overwhelming opponents with pumped Nazgûl, recurring massive threats with Living Death, or dealing lethal direct damage with Peer into the Abyss and Psychosis Crawler. A strong suite of cheap counterspells and removal provides protection and disruption throughout.
