Deck overview

This deck is a high-power aggro-reanimator deck commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan accelerates Kaalia out on Turn 3 via 2-mana artifacts, attacking on Turn 4 to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Master of Cruelties eliminate opponents on the spot, while Avacyn, Angel of Hope sets up one-sided land destruction through Armageddon. The deck backs its aggressive commander with an extensive suite of low-cost and free protection spells, including Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Grand Abolisher. If Kaalia is answered or detained, an independent graveyard reanimation package featuring Entomb, Buried Alive, Reanimate, and Animate Dead—alongside Sneak Attack—ensures high-velocity threat deployment without missing a beat.
