Deck overview

This is a Dimir Faerie tempo-control deck helmed by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. The primary plan is to load up on instant-speed interaction and flash Faeries, triggering Alela's first-spell-per-turn setup to generate a critical mass of 1/1 flying Faerie tokens. Those tokens then goad the table's biggest threats and chip away through combat damage, while support pieces like Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor turn each token into a draining engine. The deck also packs a handful of mana-efficient counterspells, selective removal, and back-end finishers (Torment of Hailfire, Lord of the Nazgul/Wraith army). The commander must be protected to keep token production and goading running, but the 99 holds enough Faerie glue to function at reduced efficiency if she is removed.
