Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger Voltron deck centers on Fire Lord Azula, leveraging her Firebending 2 ability to produce free combat mana and her triggered ability to duplicate every spell cast while attacking. The primary game plan seeks to deploy Azula on Turn 4, attack on Turn 5, and cast cheap instant-speed pump spells like Bulk Up, Blazing Crescendo, and Monstrous Rage. Copied by Azula, these spells rapidly escalate her power to 16–22+ commander damage with trample or double strike, eliminating one player per combat phase. A dense suite of low-cost interaction and protection spells, including Octopus Form, Spider-Sense, Deadly Rollick, and Narset's Reversal, safeguards Azula during her attack windows. While the deck lacks proactive stax pieces and eliminates the table sequentially over three combat turns, its high redundancy and explosive spell-doubling engine provide a potent, focused aggro clock.
