Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Dragon tribal and reanimator deck commanded by Rivaz of the Claw. The strategy accelerates past ordinary mana constraints by combining commander-based mana acceleration with tribal cost reducers such as Urza's Incubator and Dragonspeaker Shaman. Deploying Rivaz on Turn 3 enables casting 5-to-6 CMC Dragon engines on Turn 4. The deck transitions into critical onset on Turn 5 by compounding threats like Terror of the Peaks, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Utvara Hellkite. These Dragons generate immediate board presence and direct damage ETB triggers. Because Rivaz permits casting one Dragon per turn from the graveyard, the deck maintains resilience against spot removal and board wipes. Free interaction spells like Deflecting Swat and Deadly Rollick protect critical turns, while asymmetric sweepers such as Crux of Fate and Balefire Dragon clear opposing boards. The deck closes the game on Turn 7 through overwhelming aerial combat damage.
