Kess, Dissident Mage (Copy)

Format: Commander

Commander: Kess, Dissident Mage

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Kess, Dissident Mage runs a slow, spells-and-sacrifice value strategy: cheap removal, steal effects, and draw spells are cast once from hand and later reused from the graveyard through Kess, Maestros Ascendancy, and Cormela, Glamour Thief. Young Pyromancer and Harmonic Prodigy turn each instant or sorcery into extra creature tokens, which fund sacrifice costs and give a combat body. The commander is not a double-faced commander; the DFCs are support cards only, and there is no true hidden commander. The deck contains no deterministic infinite combo, so its realistic path is to out-grind opponents, use temporary steal effects, and finish with combat or Fling-style burn.
