Deck overview

This deck is a four-color value engine helmed by Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder, built to exploit cascade triggers for explosive turns. The primary game plan is to deploy Yidris, connect with combat damage, and chain cascade into a dizzying array of landfall payoffs, extra combats, and mana sinks. The deck leans heavily on a landfall subtheme with Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and Tireless Provisioner to generate overwhelming card advantage, mana, and combat steps. Finishers include Crackle with Power or Exsanguinate for massive X-spell damage, or a cascade-fueled swarm of creatures. The deck also packs a robust recursion suite via Six, Wrenn and Six, Eternal Witness, and Whip of Erebos to recover from sweepers. While Yidris accelerates the plan, the deck can win through its landfall engines alone, making it less dependent on the commander for survival.
