Deck overview

This deck is a high-power 5-color control deck helmed by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary game plan revolves around deploying inexpensive token generators and mana rocks in the early turns, casting Jace on Turn 4, and immediately activating his -3 loyalty ability to exile a token and polymorph into one of the deck's massive, game-warping creatures or planeswalkers. The payoff package features devastating lock pieces and beaters such as Void Winnower, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Toxrill, the Corrosive, Archon of Cruelty, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Blightsteel Colossus. Supporting polymorph engines like Proteus Staff, Identity Echo, and Mass Polymorph provide built-in redundancy, while tools like Scroll Rack and Brainstorm ensure big threats drawn into hand can be tucked back into the library. Backed by cheap stack interaction and free defensive spells, the deck locks opponents out of meaningful responses before closing the game via overwhelming combat damage.
