Deck overview

This deck is a mono-white Angel tribal and lifegain midrange strategy commanded by Ob Nixilis, the Ascended. It curves out aggressive, high-toughness Angel creatures while stacking passive lifegain triggers to dominate combat. Early turns establish mana acceleration using Giada, Font of Hope, Pearl Medallion, and artifact ramp, deploying synergistic engines such as Bishop of Wings, Righteous Valkyrie, and Resplendent Angel. Once online, the deck generates 4/4 flying Angel tokens and distributes team-wide +1/+1 counters through Archangel of Thune and Lyra, Archangel of Dawn. Commander Ob Nixilis, the Ascended serves as an impactful top-end payoff, destroying tapped blockers tapped by Authority of the Consuls and producing additional flyers. Comprehensive protection spells including Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver defend the board against sweepers, ensuring a decisive finish through evasive combat damage.
