Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai kindred midrange strategy built around Maralen, Fae Ascendant, combining the rapid board-flooding capabilities of Elves with the flying evasion, flash timing, and disruptive synergy of Faeries. In the early game, cheap mana dorks and enablers establish board presence and accelerate into casting Maralen. Once the commander is established, every new Elf or Faerie trigger exiles cards from opponents' libraries and casts spells for free based on total kindred creature count. Midgame token powerhouses such as Wolverine Riders, Bitterblossom, and Thranduil the Strategist build wide armies while simultaneously inflating Maralen's free-cast threshold. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide evasive combat damage bolstered by lords like Glen Elendra Liege and Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, supplemented by life-loss triggers from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Skemfar Shadowsage. While vulnerable to mass board wipes, its independent token engines and high card flow ensure steady rebuilding power.
