Deck overview

The Serpent Society commands a Golgari combat and aristocrats strategy that turns small deathtouch creatures into lethal board control pieces. The deck establishes early presence with efficient deathtouchers like Fang of Shigeki and Sedge Scorpion. With the commander on the battlefield, trading or sacrificing these creatures forces each opponent to sacrifice their own nontoken creatures, creating a one-sided attrition lock. The deck converts this defensive grid into victory through poison counters from Fynn, the Fangbearer, massive stat buffs from Beastmaster Ascension, and steady drain effects from Hooded Blightfang and South Wind Avatar, overwhelming opponents as their boards disintegrate.
