Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu combat deck centered around Fire Lord Zuko. The primary strategy leverages impulse draw and exile mechanics to trigger Zuko's ability, distributing +1/+1 counters across your entire creature army while converting attacks into bursts of red firebending mana. By deploying low-cost enablers like Inti, Seneschal of the Sun, Laelia, the Blade Reforged, and Prosper, Tome-Bound, you generate sustained card advantage and mana velocity during combat. The deck scales into midgame finishers such as Ozai, the Phoenix King, Commander Liara Portyr, and Etali, Primal Storm, using attack doublers like Isshin, Two Heavens as One and extra combat steps from Overpowering Attack to overwhelm the table. Defensive spells like Boros Charm and Dawn's Truce safeguard your growing board, allowing you to close games decisively through combat damage.
