Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast leads an Abzan Toughness Aggro strategy that converts high-toughness, low-mana defenders into formidable combat threats and massive card-advantage fuel. The deck curves out with low-power creatures that double as early blockers and ramp engines, such as Overgrown Battlement, Wall of Roots, and Sylvan Caryatid. Once Felothar the Steadfast or redundant enablers like Doran, the Siege Tower hit the battlefield, these defensive walls swing for heavy combat damage based on toughness. The deck leverages its low power to break parity on asymmetric sweepers like Slaughter the Strong, Dusk // Dawn, and Expel the Interlopers, clearing opposing boards while leaving its own creatures untouched. Mass recursion spells such as Reunion of the House and Nethroi, Apex of Death bring back entire boards of low-power creatures after disruption, ensuring consistent pressure until opponents are eliminated by unblockable or trample-boosted attacks.
