Deck overview

This Orzhov enchantment deck is commanded by Eriette of the Charmed Apple, focusing on turning Auras into a dual-purpose engine of combat defense and inescapable burn. By enchanting both opposing threats and friendly creatures, Eriette prevents enchanted creatures from attacking you while draining each opponent and gaining life at your end step equal to your Aura count. Cost reducers such as Killian, Ink Duelist and enchantresses like Sram, Senior Edificer accelerate Aura deployment. Impetus curses and goad effects force opponents to attack one another, accelerating life loss while keeping your life total high. When opponents attempt to break through, pillowfort staples like Sphere of Safety and spot removal ensure security. If Eriette is removed, secondary win conditions like Archon of Sun's Grace, Sigil of the Empty Throne, or a massive All That Glitters attacker can close out the game.
