Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Reanimator strategy led by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist, focusing on a "discard-to-reanimate" engine. The primary game plan is to utilize various "looter" effects-creatures that draw and discard-to pitch high-CMC threats like Artisan of Kozilek, Ashen Rider, and Ulamog's Crusher into the graveyard. Hashaton acts as a mana sink and value engine, allowing you to pay {2}{U} whenever a creature is discarded to create a 4/4 Zombie token copy of that creature. This bypasses traditional reanimation spells while maintaining the ETB and static abilities of the discarded behemoths. The deck wins through overwhelming board presence, Annihilator triggers from Eldrazi tokens, and incidental drain from Corpse Knight and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While Hashaton provides a unique token-based approach, the deck also includes traditional reanimation like Victimize and Unburial Rites for redundancy.
