Deck overview

This list is an optimized competitive Commander (cEDH) build of Orvar, the All-Form, configured as a high-velocity combo-control deck. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Orvar early via explosive fast mana artifacts such as Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Sol Ring. Once Orvar resolves, the deck targets high-value permanents with buyback or cheap untap spells like Whim of Volrath and Clockspinning. Targeting Coveted Jewel creates an infinite loop of mana and card draw, allowing the deck to draw its entire library and eliminate all opponents in a single turn using repeated casts of Blue Sun's Zenith. The deck features an elite interaction package consisting of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, ensuring that win attempts can be pushed through opposing disruption. The deck is capable of attempting wins at instant speed with Borne Upon a Wind or locking out responses entirely with Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun.
