Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive mono-green stompy list led by Gargos, Vicious Watcher, designed to accelerate into massive Hydra threats and overwhelm the table through combat. The game plan centers on ramping aggressively in the first three turns with low-cost mana dorks and land enchantments, allowing Gargos to hit the battlefield on turn 4. Once Gargos is deployed, its passive ability reduces the cost of all Hydra spells by four generic mana, letting you cast colossal X-cost creatures for minimal investment. Concurrently, cheap targeting spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Whip Silk trigger Gargos to fight and remove opposing blockers or commanders at instant speed. Card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and The Great Henge replenish your hand with every large creature deployed. The deck transitions into critical onset on turn 5 and closes the game on turn 6 using mass evasion and power multipliers such as Overwhelming Stampede, Triumph of the Hordes, and Kalonian Hydra.
