Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Stax and Control build commanded by Inquisitor Greyfax. It leverages extensive tutor density, efficient spot removal, and numerous sweepers to control early aggression while establishing stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV. The primary win condition is an asymmetric land-destruction lock assembled using Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Kormus Bell, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. Once assembled on Turn 6, all opponent lands are turned into 1/1 creatures and immediately wiped by Elesh Norn's -2/-2 debuff, while your own lands become 4/3 vigilant attackers under Inquisitor Greyfax to close the game by Turn 8. High-end backup threats like Maha, Its Feathers Night, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, and Eldrazi titans ensure resilience.
