Deck overview

This deck is a focused Simic big-mana combat deck built around Kenessos, Priest of Thassa. The primary strategy uses cheap scrying spells, topdeck cantrips, and ability cost reducers to cheat high-cost Krakens, Leviathans, Octopuses, and Serpents directly onto the battlefield at instant speed. Kenessos passively increases all scry values by one, allowing deep library manipulation to consistently line up sea monsters on top of the library. Once a dominant threat like Koma, Cosmos Serpent or Hullbreaker Horror enters play around Turn 4 or 5, the deck transitions into board control and massive combat swings. It clears opposing blockers using asymmetric mass bounce spells like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets, while Serpent of Yawning Depths and Garruk's Uprising grant evasion to push lethal combat damage across all opponents by Turn 8. The deck features strong redundancy and resilient creatures, though it requires protecting Kenessos to maintain mana efficiency.
