Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Dimir tempo and cheat strategy led by Satoru Umezawa. It relies on a dense package of cheap, unblockable creatures to reliably enable ninjutsu activations. By Turn 4, the deck cheats game-warping threats like Ancient Silver Dragon, Archon of Cruelty, or Virtus the Veiled into play tapped and attacking. Satoru smooths draws by providing card selection on every ninjutsu trigger. Connecting with Ancient Silver Dragon refuels the hand with a massive burst of cards, smoothly transitioning the board into compact combo finishes such as Doomsday with Thassa's Oracle or infinite turns via Panoptic Mirror imprinting Time Warp. A robust suite of low-cost counterspells and protective tools shields Satoru from removal, while disruptive pieces like Notion Thief, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Dauthi Voidwalker hinder opposing development. The deck blends aggressive mana cheating with resilient combo lines.
