Deck overview

This Golgari deck pilots a low-to-the-ground Insect-tribal/sacrifice/reanimator strategy helmed by Grist, Voracious Larva // Grist, the Plague Swarm. The front side is a deathtouch creature that transforms into a planeswalker when a creature enters from the graveyard - a condition the deck meets constantly via self-recurring creatures like Gravecrawler, Bloodsoaked Champion, and Tenacious Dead. The back side's +1 mills two and creates a token with deathtouch; its -2 destroys an artifact or enchantment; and its -6 reanimates every creature card in the graveyard as 1/1 Insect tokens - a game-ending wide board. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard, generate value through sacrifice and recursion loops, and overwhelm opponents with a relentless stream of bodies, drain effects, and incremental life loss. There are no infinite combos; victory arrives through sustained combat and attrition.
