Deck overview

This Dimir clone-tribal deck helmed by Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic turns every opponent's best creature into a temporary resource while leveraging its own copy suite for massive advantage. The primary game plan is to use the commander's "Photographic Reflexes" ability to copy the most impactful creature on the battlefield or in any graveyard each turn, then support that with 13+ additional clone and mimic effects (Clone, Body Double, Phyrexian Metamorph, etc.) to create overwhelming board presence. The deck's secondary win condition is an infinite-mana combo via Peregrine Drake + a clone, which fuels a draw-engine like Shimmer Dragon or Gogo, Master of Mimicry to empty the library, then mills opponents with Windfall + Mindcrank + Sphinx's Tutelage. Reanimation spells (Animate Dead, Living Death) retrieve key pieces from the graveyard, while Toxrill, the Corrosive and Hullbreaker Horror provide control. The deck functions at high capacity without Taskmaster thanks to the dense clone redundancy.
