Deck overview

This Mono-Green Stompy deck leverages extreme power-to-mana efficiency to accelerate out its commander, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. The deck utilizes low-cost, over-statted creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus, alongside living weapon technology in Tangleweave Armor, to satisfy Ghalta's affinity-style power discount. Once assembled, the board generates immense combat pressure and fuels potent card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise to maintain momentum. Lethal table finishes are executed through overrun effects such as Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth, or by methodically eliminating opponents through trample and commander damage over multiple combat steps. While the deck boasts immense stat velocity and high resilience against single-target removal via redundant threats, it lacks stack interaction and remains vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and heavy stax locks.
