Ur Dragon by Beanieweenees

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a five-color Dragon tribal deck helmed by The Ur-Dragon, built to exploit his eminence cost reduction to cast expensive Dragons ahead of curve, then convert his attack trigger into card draw and free permanents. The primary win is combat damage from a swarm of evasive flyers, supercharged by Atarka, World Render's double strike and token engines like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The Dragonstorm enchantment cycle (Roiling Dragonstorm, Encroaching Dragonstorm, Breaching Dragonstorm) provides repeatable value that recurs on every Dragon entry, while Tiamat acts as a one-shot tutor for five Dragons. A slow alternate win in Call the Spirit Dragons and the free-cast enabler Dracogenesis round out the plan. This is a classic battlecruiser: big, slow, and explosive once the commander connects.
